After touring the town and the museum, we began our six mile hike up the mountain to see El Castell (the castle), which was originally built as a fortress. Also, about halfway up the mountain, there was a big cave with an altar. It was overcast, which was nice because we weren't too hot. Once we reached the top of the mountain, we heard thunder, it sprinkled for about thirty seconds, and then passed. I wish that would happen in Michigan more often! It was a long journey, but well worth it. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Photographs truly don't do it any justice!
